"What does Orgsardine mean"

Harold, Owner of Orgsardine, proudly rooted in Austin & Dallas, TX, and currently crafted in Kowloon, HK. Sardine came to life on October 21, 2016, and was formally named Orgsardine in 2020.

 The analogy draws on the behavior of Indian oil sardines in the Indian Ocean, where they organize in large groups during the monsoon season, forming a strategy to confuse predators and enhance their chances of survival. The choice of the name “Sardine” itself implies a connection between organization and the collaborative nature of sardines. It's a creative and symbolic way to convey the importance of unity and cooperation within the organization, drawing inspiration from the behavior of sardines in the natural world.

"Org" stands as my senior and inaugural brand. Preceding this venture were two others: "Sardine," a vintage upcycling brand, and "Rathole," a streetwear brand with a focus on black rave culture and sound. The experiences gained through the creation of these brands were instrumental in crystallizing my vision. I aspired to develop a brand that seamlessly blends streetwear with luxury. "Org" embodies the essence of luxury, while "Sardine" represents streetwear. As evidenced by our logo, "Org" highlights an elegant design, while "Sardine" leans towards a more graphic-heavy aesthetic. This intentional duality encapsulates the essence of the brand, where sophistication meets bold visual elements. Together, they form an adult streetwear brand that places emphasis on superior fabrics, precise measurements, attention to detail, and an overall exceptional experience when donning our pieces. 

 The phrase "Baptized with spit, raised with love" encapsulates the brand's journey, drawing a metaphorical connection between the challenges it has faced and the enduring support it has received. "Baptized with spit" symbolizes the unexpected hurdles and hardships encountered, mirroring the unforeseen difficulties one might face through an unexpected act. Despite these obstacles, the brand has been shaped and molded by overcoming adversity. On the flip side, "raised with love" signifies the nurturing aspect of the brand's development. Throughout its journey, the project has thrived and flourished, thanks to the love and encouragement that surrounds it.
